IJCAI-07 Student Volunteers (Deadline for Student Volunteers Program is over)

International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence [IJCAI] is pleased to announce the continuation of its Student Volunteers Programme for assisting in the smooth conduct of IJCAI-07 events including tutorials/workshops and conference to be held in Hyderabad, India during January 6-12, 2007.

Application Procedure
Due to limited number of volunteers required for IJCAI-07, the offer is limited to deserving students only who are on role on 01 Aug 2006. The student volunteers will be offered free registration for full duration of tutorials/workshops and conference. However, they will have to bear all expenses related to their travel and accommodation at Hyderabad from 5 to 13 Jan 2007. Applicants should submit a letter of request to the volunteer Coordinator Dr Suryakanth V Gangashetty by e-mail svg@iiit.ac.in, no later than 15 Oct 2006 with following details. A decision will be notified by 25 Oct 2006.
  • the status of the student (UG/PG/PhD) with evidence of existing interest and expertise in AI
  • type of participation in the IJCAI-07 program (accepted technical session or workshop paper, etc.)
  • an estimate of attendance costs
  • the results of approaching the local AI Society for support
  • whether any other sources of support are available to the applicant
  • a case for support that includes reasons why IJCAI should make volunteer offer to the applicant
