Asian/Developing Countries Support

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS EXTENDED till 03 Dec 2006. to enable all authors desirous of applying to do the needful before registrations deadline of 03 Dec 2006 given by PC Chair.

A special Asian Fund has been created to assist deserving participants from Asian/developing countries who are unable to pay the full registration fee, for partial support towards their registration fees for Conference, Tutorials and Workshops. This does not cover travel or stay support.

All such participants, including students wanting to avail financial support, should contact the Chairperson of the Asian Fund by e-mail: asianfund@ijcai-07.org before 03 Dec 2006 with the following details.

  • the status of the applicant (student, junior faculty, etc.) with evidence of existing interest and expertise in AI
  • type of planned participation in the IJCAI-07 program (accepted technical session or workshop paper, etc.)
  • the results of approaching the local Organisation/Society for support
  • whether any other sources of support are available to the applicant
  • a case for support that includes reasons why IJCAI should provide partial support to the applicant and a letter of support (for students only) from the applicant's advisor/Head.

ICON-2007 –Special Package

For delegates attending International Conference on NLP in Jan2007(ICON-2007), IJCAI-07 has offered a Special package, by which they can attend three associated pre-conference workshops and tutorials (in whatever combination), the opening inauguration and the first day of IJCAI-07 main conference at HICC by paying only US$ 150 OR Rs 6000 along with ICON-2007 Registration fee before 3 Dec 2006.
